Fermentation pots have been used for hundreds of years as a way of naturally allowing foods to preserve in a salt/water brine solution. These beautifully crafted stoneware fermenting crocks are an essential product for pickling your vegetables and making delicious sauerkraut. Purposefully designed with an airtight water-sealable cover so that you do not have to repeatedly open them to scrape off surface mold; simply pour a small amount of water into the channel on top and the cover’s design will allow gases to escape without letting oxygen in.

Includes a special weight set to keep products submerged in the brine. Dimensions of 7.5” dia X 8.5”H and weights 6 lbs.
