Great for making snack sticks and other small diameter meat snacks. Is has a heavier wall weight then our regular collagen casings, which allows them to be hung from smoke sticks during the drying or thermal processing. There is also a very nice snap in the bite to these casings, which is great for many types of small diameter meat snacks. Casing is totally edible. Keep refrigerated.
Packed on 3 strands for a total length of 150ft good for ±28 lbs (12.7 Kg) of meat.
>Preparation:
No soaking needed. Use right out of the package. The open end of the collagen strand goes onto the stuffing tube.
>Cooking Methods:
-Processed edible collagen (clear & smoked) can be broiled, grilled and strong enough to go into a smoker. Boiling is not recommended.
>Storage Method:
Can be stored in a dry and cool location between 1-2 years in their original packaging.
